2nd September

Made our way south to the Ria’s on the West Galician coast, these four fiord like inlets are the hidden gems of the west coast. Our overnight stop was just west of Cangas the main town of the Vigo Rias.

We are now south of the border down Portugal way, we live to tell the tale after a meeting with a Porche 911 overtaking a juggernaught at high speed on a blind bend, it was the closest we’ve come to a terminal head on, thank you Jesus.
We crossed the river Minho and took in the fortified border town of Valenca do Minho for a lunch stop. Life here was at a less frantic pace with kids kicking football in the alleys.

Our campsite destination for the night was a beach stop at Viana do Castelo situated at the mouth of the river Lima.
